“Why does a disease affecting 7.74 million people, 80% of them of African ancestry, receive a quarter of the research investment of comparable conditions?”
Our founder, Linia Zambezi, a genomic scientist trained at Cambridge, kept arriving at the same answer: the data needed to study it properly has never existed. Afromics was founded to build that data — and the infrastructure, governance, and interpretation capability that make it useful.

Assembled against six execution challenges: scientific credibility, clinical access and patient trust, commercial and capital strategy, and mission leadership.
